Cross Stitch Safety: Protecting Pets and Projects
2 February 2010

Recently, I started a new project. I usually write down the floss color numbers I am using for projects if they are different from the ones suggested by the pattern or if I am substituting colors.

February Ornament of the Month
1 February 2010

This year, I am attempting to bulk up my Cross Stitch ornament collection. I have stitched hundreds of ornaments over the years, but most of them were given as gifts and only a few ended up on my tree. So, toward this effort, I used some of Sue Chastain’s Graphic Software motifs to create some abstract little designs to stitch and add to my tree.

Honestly I get up Monday morning and think about how far away Friday 3:30 (quitting time) is! I just want to come home, sit in my chair with one of my Mum’s quilts on my lap and stitch..

Cross Stitch Celebrities
25 January 2010

In a recent facebook post, one of the “fans” of the Cross Stitch page was “chatting” back and forth with me about one of my Valentine projects and she said she found it exciting because, according to her, “In my house you are a regular celeb.” I tease with my husband all the time that he is living with a Cross Stitch “cewebrity” and he just rolls his eyes. Of course, I did get recognized in Sam’s Club recently, but it was because I post so much on the fan page for the local weightloss program I participate in! I am certainly NOT a celebrity of any sorts, but I sure get excited when I have contact with Cross Stitch celebrities like Donna Kooler, Mr

Weekend Update
17 January 2010

I’ve had a busy weekend, I was involved in more fundraising events which for some reason really tired me out. In seven weeks I’m going to the Dominican Republic with 10 students, we’re participating in a Social Justice Awareness project, living with Dominican families for a week and being exposed to the developing nation side of the D.R., not the resort side. This project has been a lot of work,
